Start with what you cut
The right Silky comes down to three things: how big the wood is, how far you carry the saw, and how hard you'll use it. Get those straight and the choice gets easy.
We've carried Silky saws at Axeman for years, and we use them ourselves on the trail, in the woods, and around the yard. Japanese pull-stroke teeth cut on the draw, so you get a fast, clean cut with less effort than a push saw. Once you've used one, it's hard to go back.
If you're not sure where to start, start with the Outback Editions. They're our best sellers, and for good reason.
Our top sellers: the Outback Editions
The Outback Editions are the saws our customers reach for most. They take Silky's proven folding saws and give them a handle made from arbor composite, which holds its grip when your hands are wet, cold, or working through game. The blades have non-set teeth and are taper ground, so they glide through the cut with less binding.
Silky GOMBOY CURVE OUTBACK Edition is our number one Silky, and the one we'd hand most people first. The 240 mm curved blade (6.8 TPI) is big enough for real limbing and firewood prep, but it still folds down small enough for a pack or a truck door pocket. If you only buy one saw, this is a very safe bet.
Silky BIGBOY 2000 OUTBACK Edition is for when the wood gets bigger. Its 360 mm curved blade with coarse 5.5 TPI teeth moves through thick limbs and blowdown fast. It's a favourite for hunting camps, cabin owners, and anyone clearing trails.
Silky POCKETBOY OUTBACK Edition is the light one. A 170 mm straight blade at 8.5 TPI makes it ideal for day hikes, hunting packs, and small pruning jobs where every gram counts.
Silky NATA Professional 240 mm Outback Edition isn't a saw at all. It's a double-edged chopping tool for clearing brush, splitting kindling, and camp chores, and it pairs well with any of the saws above.
Replacement blades are available for the Gomboy Curve Outback, Bigboy 2000 Outback, and Pocketboy Outback, so your saw can keep working for years.

The rest of the lineup, by use
Light and packable. The POCKETBOY 170 and POCKETBOY 130 are compact folders that weigh next to nothing. Choose large teeth for green wood and medium teeth for dry wood and cleaner cuts.
All-round camp and yard. The Gomboy Curve Professional comes in 210, 240, and 300 mm. It's the same trusted saw as the Outback, with Silky's standard handle. The straight-blade GOMBOY 240 is a good pick if you prefer a flatter, more controlled cut.
Bigger wood, still folding. The BIGBOY 2000 (XL Teeth) has a 14 inch curved blade with aggressive teeth for fast work on large limbs. The BIGBOY 360 is the straight-blade version for more precise cuts.
Arborist and pro work. The Zubat Ultimate Professional 330 is a fixed curved blade in a scabbard, built for all-day pruning and tree work. It's a favourite of tree care pros around the world.
Chainsaw territory. The KATANABOY 500 is a two-handed folding saw with a 20 inch blade. It's serious kit for storm cleanup and wildfire mitigation when you can't bring a chainsaw, or just don't want to.
