Been splitting wood for over 30 years dry and green large to small ( 36" to 12") and using 6-8 lbs splitting maul and out of that time had to learn technique to work with the weight of the head. There is no balance or structure to the axe. With the Granfors there is balance and weight and structure. I feel it. Now splitting is not a chore. Will look into the splitting maul.
Make it much easier to use Japanese water wheel when rotating away from edge instead of towards the edge.

The T-8 Custom has sped up my sharpening process as using my main T-8 and then have custom T-8 to finish edges. This way I don't have to keep changing Sharpening Wheels.

The 325 Anniversary Axe fits perfectly for a Day X getaway from the city, or away from most crowds, when SHTF occurs. It is beautifully designed for collectors of axes, I suppose. However for my purpose the contrast of colours is helpful, should it fall from my grip on a rainy day and into a mud puddle.
Loving this axe, it is my second carving axe and the size is perfect for what my carving interests are (green spoon carving). I will be ordering the large carving axe.
