Product is quality! Coating on blade is solid and preferable to uncoated variety on other models. Comes with a brown and black cordura sheath with a large surface area (35cm^2) Velcro flap. Sheath is awesome. Sheath allows for storage of spare blade and allows one to pack and access safely.
Saw weight is considerable but necessary for such a quality product with such capability.
Dealing with Axeman was a breeze. Their customer service was excellent, and they were very knowledgeable about the product. As for the Tormek T-8, it’s an excellent machine that I’m extremely pleased with. The more videos I watch and the more I learn, the more I realize that this machine can basically sharpen anything—as long as you have the right jig or rest for it.
I would highly recommend this tool to anyone interested in sharpening.

Love the product I had purchased some many years ago in Bathurst NB at the local yamaha dealership (west end sports). I now live in Grand falls NB and could not find any locally. Have 3 snowmobiles that I have the axe mate attached to it and also my Atv...my axes are well secured. I am an out door guy and would recommend to anyone the axe mate...

Saw comes with a black and brown cordura sheath with a large surface area (35 square cm) velcro flap, which allows one to carry an extra blade in the sheath.
The sheath system looks and functions great. It keeps saw in closed position and allows one to access and pack saw with ease and safety.

Axeman.ca was great to deal with. I love the FE6 head, but I would not choose the dual grip handle again. It is too wide at the top, and too narrow at the palm swell. I will have to replace the handle to get the full potential out of the axe. I will definitely shop at Axeman.ca again, and will very likely buy council tools again as well.
