The guard fit my Aby like a glove, a bit of hockey tape under for friction and I laced it up damp with a bit of warm water to get a good stretch on the leather.
Very nice axe, just a little tweaking and good to go.
I needed a versatile size for splitting 10"-12" lengths of split wood for the sauna stove. Just like Goldilocks, not to big and not to small so use accordingly. I also wanted a useable tool as opposed to piece of art, although it's there to in Scandinavian fabrication. The price point was good too.

Such an well made piece, very happy with the purchase. The picture on the site shows a lighter coloured handle, but mine came in with a deeper/ richer colored handle, what a pleasant surprise. A tip of the hat to the custom design of each piece. Love it, Thank you!

I bought this axe, as well as a headlamp from Axeman. The packaging was more than sufficient, love both products and used them on my camping trip this weekend thanks to Jeremy for helping sort out a Canada post issue just in time for my trip.

Great customer service from Axeman and quick shipping. The fe6-36 is a great splitting axe but my only problem is with how the axe was hung at the factory. After about 6 or 7 swings I noticed the head was loose. I was able to seat the head down onto the handle a full 1/4” more and added 2 more wedges but it’s still a bit loose. Kind of disappointed in Council Tool quality control.
