Tormek's SVM-00 Small Knife Holder complements the KJ-45 Centering Knife Jig and makes it possible to sharpen really tiny knife blades. By attaching the handle of the knife in the jig, you can sharpen the very smallest of blades.
The SVM-00 Small Knife Holder allows you to sharpen various kinds of craft knives, chip-carving knives and knives for detailed work. Even pocket knives can be sharpened with perfect control. Expensive but worth it
This is an excellent holder for all range of knife handles, especially tiny and small neck knife handles. Also any small bladed knife whereas you otherwise couldnt hold it in the standard blade holder, this can.
With imagination one can hold small curved handles or bladed knives.
Holding 90* in a standard holder, one can sharpen small bladed chisels , gravers ect, that can be gripped in the standard holder, as this grabs the handle instead...
Basically anything that Is a knife or chisel like objects, that fit into this holder, can be sharpened.
Easy to use. Just takes a little practice.
It looks like it works the problem would be when trying to sharpen Swiss Army knives when the blade isn’t centred in the handle. And there is no way of off setting the small knife holder bar to line up with the blade. works well for small knives
