Ox Head OX 15 H-0807 ILTIS Chainsaw Axe, 800g

I’ve a forester for over 45 years and have used Oxhead axes for spotting roads, boundary lines and other various projects. My old Oxheads would hold an edge and be easy to sharpen. The Oxheads I’ve recently purchased are of lower quality steel and don’t keep an edge as my older heads. The quality on my older heads would also ring if I hit them with a coin being a solid indicator of its temper. No such ring occurs when I strike the new axes just bought. I also bought these heads as a gift for my sons. I wanted them to appreciate a high quality tool as an heirloom they could pass on to their sons.

Very happy with the quality of the axe , however I didn’t realize the blade is smaller than my old litis oxhead. Very fast shipping and great place to do business
