The Rope Logic SafeBloc Tenex Sling 16ft is engineered for advanced tree rigging, combining the unique SafeBloc friction management device with a high-strength Tenex sling. Developed by David Driver and SHERRILLtree, the SafeBloc is a triple-hole thimble that adds friction at the rigging point high in the tree, significantly reducing stress on the anchor compared to traditional blocks or pulleys.
This friction allows the climber to take over on the rigging line after the ground crew controls the initial drop, especially with small-to-medium loads, freeing up the ground crew for other tasks. The SafeBloc can be used anywhere a traditional arborist block would be deployed for lowering. The rigging line can be threaded through one, two, or all three holes to adjust the amount of friction as needed—no moving parts, no wear points, and no need for the climber to return to the device for adjustments.
The 16-foot, 3/4-inch Tenex dead eye sling is hand-spliced by Rope Logic’s experts, ensuring strength, durability, and reliability for demanding rigging operations. The SafeBloc system is lightweight, hard-coated for extended wear, and designed to be used with or without a basal lowering device depending on load size.
