The smallest axe in Hults Bruk's Yankee-pattern collection, the Pjältån is designed for the quiet work that surrounds life outdoors. Whether preparing kindling for a morning fire, carving around camp, or handling everyday tasks at the cabin or woodpile, it offers a dependable blend of portability, control, and practical performance. Its 1.3 lb. head paired with a 15-inch American hickory handle provides the weight needed for light chopping while remaining comfortable to use with one hand and easy to carry wherever the trail leads. Stable, reliable, and approachable for users of all experience levels, the Pjältån is a natural companion for camp life and outdoor adventures. The refined Yankee-pattern head features a higher grind that improves edge durability and helps the blade release cleanly from the wood, enhancing performance during repeated chopping, kindling preparation, and general camp tasks. Hand-forged at Hults Bruk from proprietary Swedish steel, the Pjältån is hand-sharpened and finished forge-black, bringing traditional craftsmanship to life's smaller but no less important outdoor chores.
