The Gränsfors Bruk Wildlife and Hand Hatchet handle fits the Gränsfors Bruk Hand Hatchet (SKU 413), and ends up being 9.5" in length once installed. Turned from dry, seasoned hickory, then soaked in hot linseed oil, and tumbled in bee's wax, the roughly textured handle provides extra grip when doing precision work with the Hand Hatchet.
Our axe handles have been designed by Hans Erik Persson.
Gränsfors handle has an ergonomic design that gives a firm and comfortable grip.
The majority of the handles are made of the wood type Hickory which is strong and flexible. Some individual models are from copper beech.
The shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil and beeswax, which increases the quality of the shafts.
All our shafts except the Small Hatchet and the Outdoor Axe are delivered together with a wooden wedge and a three-legged iron wedge.
The Small Hatchet and the Outdoor Axe are only delivered together with a wooden wedge, as these handles have a high risk of cracking if an iron wedge is driven in.
