Forestry & Wildland Fire Protection Sprinkler Kit

CFP-4005

Professional-Grade Structure Protection for Your Whole Property

When wildfire crews set up to defend homes, they do not stand there with a garden hose. They deploy sprinkler protection units: networks of rooftop and ground sprinklers fed by a pump, soaking every surface an ember could land on and raising the humidity around the structure. The CFP-4005 Forestry & Wildland Fire Protection Sprinkler Kit puts that same capability in your hands.

Built for anyone with an existing pump, this kit runs ten sprinklers at once for wide-area coverage of over 34,000 square feet, roughly three quarters of an acre. Running together, the sprinklers create a moisture-rich barrier that soaks the ground, wets your roof and walls, and cools the surrounding air, reducing ignition risk and helping deflect an advancing fire away from your property. Set it up, charge the lines, and let it run while you evacuate safely.

✅ Real Forestry Hardware, Not Garden Store Parts

This kit is built on genuine forestry-pattern components: 1-1/2" forestry standby hose with instantaneous quick connect couplings, aluminum water thief branch tees, and treated layflat feeder lines. It is the same style of hardware wildland crews couple into every day, sized and configured for rural homeowners, cabin owners, farms, and acreages.

💡 Why Sprinkler Protection Works

Most homes lost to wildfire ignite from ember cast, burning embers carried kilometres ahead of the fire front that land on roofs, in gutters, and in dry fuels around the structure. A running sprinkler network denies those embers everything they need: surfaces are wet, fine fuels are soaked, and the air immediately around your buildings is cooler and more humid. It is one of the most effective structure protection measures available, which is exactly why professional crews deploy it on threatened homes. Deploy early, confirm everything runs, and leave when an evacuation order is issued. This kit is a preventative measure, not a guarantee, and never a reason to stay behind.

🔧 What You Need to Run It

This kit is designed for properties with an existing pump and a water source such as a lake, creek, pool, cistern, or storage tank. Your pump connects to the 1-1/2" forestry trunk line via the included NPSH instantaneous adapters. Not sure if your pump is compatible? Email us at info@axeman.ca with your pump model and we will help you sort out the connections. On a standard water system without a pump? Start with our Home & Cottage Fire Protection Kit instead, which runs off garden hose taps.

 Frequently Asked Questions

How much area does this kit cover?

All ten sprinklers running together cover more than 34,000 square feet, roughly three quarters of an acre, including four dedicated rooftop sprinklers for the structures themselves.

Do I need a special pump?

You need a pump capable of supplying a 1-1/2" line with enough volume and pressure to run your chosen sprinkler layout. Most portable fire pumps and many high-output transfer pumps work well. Contact us and we will help you confirm compatibility before you order.

Can I run only some of the sprinklers?

Yes. The water thief tees, 4-valve manifolds, and inline shut-offs let you run any combination of sprinklers and scale coverage to your pump's output.

Should I stay to operate it during a fire?

No. Set up and test the system well before fire season, deploy it when an evacuation alert is issued, start your pump, and leave when ordered. The system is designed to run without you.
