Diamond grinding wheel for Tormek T-4
The DC-200 Diamond Wheel Coarse is designed to provide effective sharpening and rapid repair of a dull or damaged edge. The diamond wheel has a grit size of 360 for fast steel removal and is particularly useful for tool shaping.
With this diamond wheel, you can sharpen nearly any type of material, including steel, ceramic and carbide. DC-200 Diamond Wheel Coarse fits Tormek T-4 Original, Tormek T-4 Bushcraft, Tormek T-3 and earlier models with a 200 mm diameter grinding wheel.
All of Tormek's diamond grinding wheels have exceptional durability with a constant removal rate and shape, which means that they always stay round and flat with a full-size diameter. Users who often sharpen the same tool benefit greatly from this, as it simplifies both setting and grinding.
The constant shape makes it possible to grind either on the side of the wheel or on its upper surface. Side grinding is perfect for smaller tools such as knives, chisels, carving gouges and v-tools. The result is an edge with a completely flat bevel, instead of a slight hollow grind.
For sharpening on the side of the diamond wheels, we recommend using the MB-100 Multi Base together with the jig designed for your specific tool. Both the base and the jigs give you support and control throughout the sharpening process. If you're not sure which jig you should use, find out here.
All diamond wheels are supplied with 150 ml of
ACC-150 Anti-Corrosion Concentrate. Always add the concentrate to the water when sharpening with water to prevent rust on the grinding wheel. Add 10 ml of concentrate to 250 ml water (~4 %). We recommend always using water when sharpening diamond wheels, as it both prolongs the life of the wheel and provides a smoother grinding surface. It is also possible to sharpen without water.

DC-200 Diamond Wheel Coarse comes fully assembled and ready to use.
I got both the coarse and the extra fine diamond wheels. The coarse wheel cuts fast and pies well with the extra fine wheel. I’d recommend both, I have not used the original wheel since getting the diamond wheels.
