Silky Saw and the dealer, Axeman, review. 👌

I was looking for a small business who sold Silky Saws and stumbled across this great little company “Axeman”, I purchased 3 different Silky Saws from them and though I haven’t actually had the pleasure of using these fine saws yet, I can certainly say I was very impressed with the quality customer service at Axeman! 😊

Silky Big Boy cuts fast! You might say Silky smooth…

I heard all the hype about Silky Saws and had to get one myself. It did not disappoint! I had pretty high expectations and was still impressed. I cut through this 6” log in about 1 minute. And that wasn’t going all out. I was just cutting at a steady pace. This Silky Big Boy cuts wood like butter. Definitely a worthwhile purchase. I highly recommend it for anyone that is into bushcraft or just needs to cut some wood into workable pieces.

I also can’t say enough good things about Axe Man. Outstanding service. Speedy delivery. And quick to answer any questions. Definitely my go to guy.

Exceptional Saw

Really a step up from anything else out there. Oozes quality and rips through any type of wood. Stopped bringing a chainsaw in the side-by-side. The big boy does anything up to 6-8” no prob.

Yes, we carry a variety of replacement blades and saw accessories, including sharpening tools and protective sheaths.

  • Clean the blade after each use to prevent rust.
  • Sharpen regularly using a suitable sharpening tool.
  • Store in a dry place to avoid moisture damage to the blade and handle

For cutting green wood or live branches, Arborist Saws with a curved blade are ideal as they allow for smooth and efficient cuts on fresh, softer wood. Their aggressive tooth design helps minimize resistance.

Pruning saws, like Arborist Saws, have curved blades and larger teeth to cut through tree branches quickly, while regular hand saws are designed with straight blades and finer teeth for precision cuts in wood and carpentry projects.

Signs that your saw needs sharpening include:

  • Difficulty making clean cuts
  • The saw frequently getting stuck in the material
