Strong, beautiful grain and the wax/oil finish is perfect. You can touch up the finish with more oil as needed.
Was not able to find a handle that would work for my axe head. Hit these guys up on Chat, he walked me through how to measure and some good questions and picked the right handle that would work for me. Had never changed an axe handle before, had to modify it a bit to make it fit, it was a good experience. Happy with product and service I received. Will purchase for here again.
I recently used this product to handle and old axe head restoration project. Jeremy from customer service was prompt with his reply and expertise regarding dimensions and handle length for my particular axe head. The grain orientation is excellent, this handle is heavy duty and very sturdy. I've really put the axe through it's paces this past week and couldn't be happier.
