Beautiful axe, packaging and sharpness. Would be a 5 star but the sheath had a small cut in it. Not a big deal as it would probably happen over time.

The axe is AWESOME! Took a day to arrive as suggested and the first time I used it I put a small chip in the edge and got to practice sharpening it!? :).

As a member of a provincial search and rescue team and an avid backpacker. I found the Åby Forest Axe to be an invaluable piece of equipment for back country search and rescue operations and an ideal companion for backpacking trips in the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains. Light, efficient and effective axe that I will always have with me.
This is a fantastic axe. I'm 5'7 and it is the perfect size. I have taken down small trees, 6-8 inches so far, with ease. It makes short work of limbing. And also very good for carving (making a log bench). And I'm just getting started. I couldn't be more pleased. And the customer service and shipping was top notch.
