The Gränsfors Medium Carving Axe is a versatile carving axe that balances power and precision, with a size and weight suitable for both new and experienced woodworkers.
The handle is made from hickory and is slightly thicker than the walnut handle used in the limited edition version, an adjustment made based on customer feedback.

The design is based on the Large Carving Axe, developed in collaboration with master craftsmen Wille Sundqvist and Onni Linnanheimo, inspired by traditional carving axes, but scaled to about 90% of the original size.The Medium Carving Axe has a relatively long, curved cutting edge and comes as standard with a double-sided sharpened edge. The axe can also be specially ordered with a “carving grind” for right-handed or left-handed carving, with the edge ground on the left side or right side.The axe is delivered with a sheath.
